AIMS conducts multiple short-term trips throughout the year.
Some of these trips are encounter trips, others are training trips and still others are humanitarian aid trips.
Trip Itinerary for 2013
Ethiopia (April 15-19) — Dr. Foltz and a small team will be teaching an Equipping for the Harvest (EFTH) training for the Light and Life denomination consisting of 2,006 churches. They will be convening 200 pastors. Their goal is to send out another 140 missionaries from their fellowship.
The Middle East (April 23 – 26) — Dr. Foltz and a small team will teach AIMS first Harvest Connection training in this Middle Eastern country. We expect 50 pastors and trust God to form 5-6 partnerships to target unreached people groups in the Middle East. We have an outstanding steering committee of Middle Eastern pastors and leaders who will do the convening and organization.
Benin and Cameroon (June 1- 23) — This trip will be lead by John Egyawan, AIMS Coordinator for Central and West Africa, as well as Carolyn Hedgpeth, AIMS Coordinator for Eastern Europe, the CIS and Southern Africa.
Central Asia (September 2-5) – Dr. Foltz will be returning for his second training. Our partnership is with the Global Missions Association. Last year, 125 pastors adopted the 10 largest unreached people groups in this country. Our goal is to do an advanced level of mission’s mobilization training, as well as do EFTH level one for the pastors who did not attend last year. We will have about 125 pastors in attendance.
The Philippines (September 9-15) – The Assemblies of God have requested our training to help them send out dozens of new missionaries to the 10/40 Window. The cost of this training will be $2,000.
India (October 21-26) – Dr. Foltz has been asked to be a coach and consultant for the Church of God in celebration of their 100 years of missionary work in India. Their goal is twofold: 1) to mobilize all of their churches to reach unreached people groups in India; 2) to train their top leaders and pastors and help them develop a 25-year strategy to initiate church-planting movements among the unreached.
Ethiopia (October 30 – November 1) — Dr. Foltz is going back to Ethiopia for his 20th training with the wonderful Kale Heywet denomination. When he started back in 1995, they didn’t have any missionaries, but now have 1,200. This is one of the greatest mission’s breakthroughs we have seen here at AIMS. He will be returning to help them do another level of training on market place ministry as well as reaching unreached peoples. About 200 pastors will be in attendance.
The Philippines (December 3-6) — Through our partnership with the Philippine Missions Association (PMA), Dr. Foltz will be conducting three mobilization events for pastors in the Philippines. Each event will have 400 – 500 pastors. The goal is to help PMA reach their goal of recruiting one million Filipino tentmakers to send throughout the 10/40 Window, as well as sending out career missionaries supported by the Filipino churches.
Southeast Asia (December 10-13) – The PMA has asked that I also train pastors and ten tmakers in strategic missions and church planting for another Southeast Asian country. We’ll have around 100 pastors/leaders. This will be our first training in this particular country.
Armenia (TBA) — This trip will be led by Carolyn Hedgpeth.
